Aims and Objectives of Our Education Program

  • Inspire boys to read.
  • Promote positive attitudes towards education through fun, educational activities.
  • Provide homework help and information for boys requesting it.
  • Identify and encourage boys that need help with schoolwork to work with a certified teacher/educational coach.
  • Utilize current technology to prepare boys for the future.
  • Recognize our members for their academic efforts and achievements.

Additional Information

  • Homework Support – Opportunity to receive individual and small group academic services with RCAS teachers.
    • Club members can receive homework assistance in our Education Center from one of our staff, educational coaches (RCAS Teachers) or volunteers each day. If a student needs access to technology or the internet for school projects, they can utilize one of our laptops or tablets to get the job done. If members do not have homework, we encourage them to pick up a book and read. We track each member’s reading history and offer monthly incentives to encourage a love of books and love of reading. If there is a book a member wants to read that is not available in our selection, we will take their request so that we can purchase their desired book to add to our collection.
  • Games of Connection – Play board games to develop and enhance social skills.
  • IXL Learning – Discover the MAGIC of Math.
    • Club members engage in the widely popular K-8th math curriculum.
  • Code and Design – Explore the work of creativity.
    • Club members can build digital design skills by learning how to code video games, design 3D models, or edit a stop motion movie.
  • STEM Activities – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities in our everyday lives.
  • Creativity Club –
    • Members can get creative in a variety of ways during one of our themed programs. Club members will create digital artwork on iPads, get messy with our weekly maker activity, or even apply their unique storytelling abilities to one of our writing programs.
