Welcome to the Cave!
Ages 8 - 9

The Cave is not just a mini-games room. It is a smaller, safe, creative setting for our young members. It provides Games Room activities with fairer competition and focuses on the developmental characteristics of our 8–9-year-old members. This room provides a “special” place for these members and prepares them for other areas of the Club.
We engage members with a variety of activities such as Cave Cubs, free play, contests and tournaments, Wii, movie days, and more. When the weather is nice, the boys enjoy going outside to play basketball, scooters, sandbox, and other outdoor activities.

Aims and Objectives of our Cave Program:

  • Provides activities that help develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and encourage creative play like action figures, RC cars, and the climbing wall.
  • Encourages the development of social skills and friendships through cooperative and friendly competition like mini carpetball, King of the Hill, and Wii Sports.
  • Teach skills and rules of games to the level of development for 8 and 9 year olds.
  • Provides games and toys suitable to their mental and physical development like Legos, kinetic sand, and building blocks.
  • Teach Club values of sportsmanship, sharing, and compassion.

Cave Cubs

Cave Cubs is a small group of 8-9-year-olds that focuses on helping boys build friendships and learn valuable life skills like creativity, collaboration, communication. In addition, Cave Cubs builds character, helps develop social-emotional skills, and more. At the end of each session, they watch a video from Kindness 101 to learn the meaning of a word and how that word can affect our everyday lives as well as others’ lives.
