Becoming a Member

Any boy between the ages of 6 and 17 can join The Club for Boys for just $12 a year. There are no income guidelines. Memberships run from June through May each year.

Our Friday Buddy Day offers boys the chance to check out the Club before becoming a member. A parent/guardian will need to fill out a form at the office before a boy can stay for the day.

STEP 1: COMPLETE APPLICATION

Paper applications available at The Club for Boys office.

Each member needs a separate application filled out.

STEP 2: MAKE PAYMENT

$12 payment due before member starts attending.

Must be paid in person at The Club for Boys office.

Cash, check, credit card, and money order accepted forms of payment.

Scholarship available upon request.

STEP 3: NEW MEMBERS ONLY
BIRTH CERTIFICATE & NEW MEMBERS MEETING

Copy of birth certificate required for member’s file.

Must attend a New Members Meeting before starting at the Club.

Spots limited for each meeting and need to be reserved by calling 605.343.3500.

Picking Up Your Member:

For the safety our members, we encourage parents/guardians to park in a parking spot and come inside the Club to pick up their member(s). Club members are not allowed to be outside unless they are supervised by staff.

Please call the Club if you know that you will be running late picking up your member(s) at closing time. Members left longer than 15 minutes after closing will be suspended from the Club for one day. If we are unable to get ahold of someone to pick up your member(s) by 30 minutes after closing time, police dispatch will be contacted.

School Attendance Policy:

All members are expected to attend school every day. Your member will not be permitted to attend the Club if he did not go to school that day unless approved by the Director of Individual and Family Services.

School Transportation:

A School Transportation Permission Slip must be filled out for each member in order to ride The Club for Boys bus from school to the Club. A new permission slip is required to be filled out each year.

Spots are limited on each route and are on a first come, first serve basis. Any members who turn in a permission slip after a route is full, will be place on a waiting list.

Meals and Snacks:

Nutritional meals and snacks are included with the cost of membership. Meals comply with Child and Adult Nutrition Services guidelines.
